The Associated Press new broadcast quality world news, entertainment, sport and lifestyle video service. The new video service, incorporates Live Video Streams, user generated video and partner content.
I collaborated with a team of designers and developers in London and in NY headquarters to map out a new video service for the Associated Press.
As lead designer, I traveled to London to work with our research vendor; we collaborated in creating wireframes based on user behavior findings. I designed the new AP Images user experience based on user journeys and tested prototypes.
User journeys consisted of e-commerce transactions, metered plans, and subscription contracts. I worked closely in implementing the new design with UI/backend developers and QA teams. When time was of the essence, I assisted front-end developers refine the UI by coding html and css. The new redesign has produced an increase in sales that have surpassed the previous year trends.
AP Archive is the film and video archive of The Associated Press, one of the largest and most trusted sources of independent news gathering.
Collaborated with a team of designer and developers to create a service for accessing and requesting archivable video content. User journeys included accessing digitized content, request of tapes and digitization requests.
As lead designer, I designed the user experience for a new service that would allow newspapers to have their own white label app accept advertisement circulars from local businesses.
